Mayor Gamar A. Janihim of Sirawai supports federalism - P300M irrigation projects for Sirawai released thru Kilusang Pagbabago



Sirawai, Zamboanga del Norte – Mayor Gamar A. Janihim tag Kilusang Pagbabago as  “messenger of peace and development”  he said during the regional meeting of 4 municipalities coordinators last October 17, 2017 at Sirawai municipal gymnasium.

During  the meeting ,  Mayor  Janihim was very thankful about the project he received coming from the group worth of  P30 Million  irrigation projects  from the National Irrigation Administration or NIA.

The said projects has a big help to irrigate  more or less 1,000 hectares in Sirawai because  it boost the  economy of the said municipality and uplift the living condition of the people here.

Mayor Janihim said, I am very happy that Kilusang Pagbabago do their visions  to help people, “ I will salute  and my 101% supports  for them. I am very thankful to my municipal  and regional coordinators  of Kilusang Pagbabago who help this projects.

“I am urging also the Kilusang Pagbabago to do the best for the people”, the mayor added.

The mayor told reporters that the municipal government of Sirawai give their full supports  to  President Rodrigo Duterte to change  the recent  form of government into a new Federal form of government, “para sa tunay na pagbabago”, said the mayor.


On the other hand, Sirawai is  4th class municipality and it has only a very low Internal Revenue Allotment from the national government. A coastal municipality of Zamboanga del Norte.

Mayor Gamar A. Janihim did his best to give the good support to his constituents by implementing more projects coming from his 20% Development Fund.

He built his new municipal hall and legislative buildings, covered court and municipal roads thru his own efforts  because he wants to serve his people in a right way not vested interest. “ I am here to help them and to  uplift their living conditions , I will do what is good for them”, said the mayor in an interview.
